Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases)

In the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) Department, disorders related to sensory organs such as hearing, balance, smell, and taste, as well as voice and speech, respiration, and swallowing functions, and deformities in the face and neck resulting from accidents, congenital issues, and tumors are examined. ENT diseases affect the ears, nose, throat, and head and neck region. These include rhinitis (common cold), tonsillitis, otitis media (middle ear infection), pharyngitis, tinnitus, and hearing problems. Ear, nose, and throat diseases can be caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, or allergies. Treatments may vary depending on the type of disease.

In the Otorhinolaryngology Department, where endoscopy and microscopic methods are used in outpatient examinations, standard surgeries such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, ear tube insertion, septoplasty (deviated septum surgery), and endoscopic sinus surgery are performed, as well as surgeries for eardrum repair and chronic middle ear infections, interventions for voice disorders, and aesthetic nose surgery (rhinoplasty).
