Biochemistry

Biochemistry is a branch of science that examines living beings at the molecular level. Clinical Biochemistry investigates the molecular changes in diseases of living organisms, what changes occur in the organism in states of disease, and what disorder causes the disease.

Biochemistry laboratories reveal the compositions of blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and other body fluids in normal and pathological states. It assists the doctor in diagnosing and directing treatment.

In our laboratory, tests are run on state-of-the-art devices. Internal (internal quality) controls are performed regularly every day under the supervision of specialist physicians and with experienced technical personnel. The tests performed are delivered to our patients as quickly as possible.

You can view your results, approved by a specialist physician, by logging into the E-Results section on our website.

Our laboratory is a member of international quality control programs. Sera from relevant centers are tested at specific intervals, and the results are compared with other laboratories worldwide, with utmost importance given to result security.

Tests Performed in the Biochemistry Laboratory:

Routine Biochemistry Tests: diabetes (sugar) tests, blood fats, liver and kidney function tests

Cardiac Tests: (tests for the diagnosis of heart health and diseases)

Endocrinology (Hormone Science) Tests: thyroid tests, tests for the diagnosis of diseases such as menstrual disorders, hirsutism, obesity, tests for monitoring diabetes (sugar) diseases, polycystic ovary syndrome, and growth retardation tests

Hematology (Blood Diseases Science) Tests: tests for the diagnosis and follow-up of anemia

Prenatal Screening Tests / Screening Tests During Pregnancy: Down syndrome screening (double, triple, quadruple), non-invasive prenatal test (such as panorama)

  • Our hospital also has a Blood Bank (Transfusion Center). In the center, blood group (forward), blood group (reverse), cross-match (compatibility), and antibody screening tests are performed.
  • All tests not performed within our hospital are conducted in relevant internationally accredited laboratories. The work in these laboratories includes biochemical tests, microbiological tests, genetic tests, and pathological tests.
