BHT CLINIC Istanbul Tema Hospital's Gynecology and Obstetrics Department provides treatment and follow-up services related to Women's Health and Obstetrics.

In the last 40 years, infertility knowledge and treatment have made great advances, encouraging an increasing number of couples to seek help to overcome their low fertility. There are now many options available that can help diagnose the cause of infertility and ultimately give couples the chance to realize their dreams of having a baby. The vast majority of infertile couples who seek help are eventually able to have a baby, and pregnancy rates for Assisted Reproductive Therapy (ART) exceed the monthly pregnancy rates of many naturally pregnant couples. Therefore, the earlier treatment is sought, the higher the chance of pregnancy. Infertility treatment is specific to each couple. Treatments that are planned specifically for the couple increase the chance of success. It is determined by evaluating the information obtained after a detailed assessment of the woman and the man. In this assessment, the social, moral, psychological, economic situations of the individuals, previous illnesses, tests and responses to treatments, and their age, ovarian function and hormonal status at the time of application should be taken into consideration. A personalized treatment plan should be made for them. According to the responses of the individuals during the treatment, necessary changes and new plans should be made. It should be known that an approach that is valid for one couple may not be valid for the other. The health unit where diagnosis and treatment will be initiated should be able to provide all kinds of contemporary services to its patients in terms of physical structure, personnel and equipment under appropriate conditions. Infertility diagnosis and treatment is a team service and success can only come when the service at every level is provided with the same quality and awareness. It should be known that unawareness, impatience and panic can do more harm than good. Women and men should try to understand and support each other in every way. The sufficient medical support they will receive in this union will allow them to achieve pregnancy more quickly and easily. Treatment applications that are done unconsciously and without knowledge will reduce success. Failure to ensure the concentration and cooperation of the couple will lead to bad results.

GENITAL AESTHETICS

She stated that women's unaesthetic perception of their genital organs, their inability to enjoy sexual intercourse and their dogmatic thoughts about sexuality psychologically hinder the individual's sexual life and communication between couples, and that women with aesthetic concerns experience feelings such as misunderstanding, shyness and timidity.
These factors can also cause negative effects on sexual life, and deformation, deformity, and changes in skin color that cause these feelings can negatively affect sexual life.

• Labiaplasty (Inner and outer lip aesthetics)
• Vaginal Tightening with Surgery (Vaginoplasty)
• Surgical reduction of the labia majora (Labia majora aesthetics)
• Hymen Repair - Surgery (Hymenoplasty)

Many operations such as removing the deformation (scar) caused by the incision made in the vagina (episiotomy) during difficult births are performed in our hospital.

HYSTEROSCOPIC AND LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

Hysteroscopy is the imaging of the inside of the uterus using optical instruments and the performing of intrauterine interventions. Hysteroscopy can be used for diagnostic purposes to examine the condition of the uterus, as well as for surgical treatment of certain diseases.

These;
Diagnosis and treatment of intrauterine disorders that cause miscarriage: septum removal, synechiae (adhesions) opening
Diagnosis and treatment of abnormal bleeding Diagnosis and treatment of myomas (uterine tumors) and polyps
Removal of an IUD that has escaped into the uterus, etc... Laparoscope is a tool used to observe the pelvic organs with the help of a thin optical tube connected to a light source and a camera. Laparoscopy is performed using small incisions with diameters of only 5 mm and/or 1 cm.
The most important advantages of laparoscopy are the short hospital stay, less pain after surgery and a faster recovery process. Smaller incisions mean better cosmetic results.

Laparoscopy may be used in some situations, including:
• Infertility diagnosis and treatments
• In the treatment of endometriosis and chocolate cysts
• In the procedures defined as tube surgery, which involves opening blockages in the tubes or removing damaged tubes.
• In myoma treatments (uterine tumors)
• In the treatment of ovarian cysts
• In cases of ectopic pregnancy
• In sterilization procedures (tubal ligation for contraceptive purposes)
• In hysterectomy procedures (removal of the uterus)

COLPOSCOPY AND BIOPSIES
Colposcopy allows for a close examination of the cervix, vagina or vulva. A lighted instrument called a colposcope magnifies the image of the cervix, allowing for better examination and visibility. During the examination, a speculum is placed in your vagina to allow for a clear view of your cervix, and then any discharge from the cervix and vagina is removed with salt water. Afterwards, your cervix will be lubricated with a special liquid. If there is a problem tissue or cell, it will turn white under the effect of this liquid. In this way, your doctor can examine the white areas in more detail and, if necessary, take a biopsy (slice) from these areas. The piece taken is examined by a specialist (pathologist).
